Five faculty members of Panjab University have written to the Panjab University Teachers Association (PUTA) asking it to bring clarity over the protest against the governing reforms.

Dr Priyatosh Sharma and Dr Ashish Kumar from Department of History, Dr Naresh Kumar and Prof Harish from UIET, and Dr Suman Mor from Department of Environment Studies have asked the PUTA to clear its stance on reforms.

“The PUTA has not brought the white paper on the PU governance reforms – whether it wants senate election without reforms and favours status quo or it favours senate election with reforms in governance,” the group asked.

“PUTA office bearers should bring out a clear cut agenda/points which can be deliberated upon in the upcoming Open House,” they added.
