Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini led the “Tiranga Yatra - Ek Yatra Deshbhakti Ke Naam” today to pay tribute to armed forces.

The event began with CM’s address at Yavanika Town Park in Sector 5, followed by a march with thousands of participants, including women and children, joining the yatra, which culminated at the Major Sandeep Shankla Memorial.

Slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” echoed throughout the city as the march progressed to different parts.

In his address at the event, Chief Minister Saini paid homage to the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces and highlighted the historical significance of “Operation Sindoor”, which he described as a symbol of the nation’s valor, dignity and self-respect. The operation, he stated, has not only showcased the exceptional bravery of India’s soldiers but also the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It underQscored India’s unwavering resolve to protect its sovereignty and highlighted the nation’s global stature.

The event concluded with participants paying floral tributes to the bravehearts.

CM arrives late

The much-anticipated Tiranga Yatra, which was scheduled to commence at 10 am, was delayed by over an hour as Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini arrived late at the venue.

The yatra began around 12 pm, forcing students and citizens to wait in the scorching heat. The procession eventually began its march from Sector 5 park and proceeded along a stretch of about 2 km to Major Sandeep Shankla Memorial near Sector 2.
