Chandigarh, January 21
Nippun Pandita and Mandeep Singh claimed three wickets each as Chandigarh bowled out Sikkim for 216 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their Col CK Nayudu Trophy match at Vikash Cricket Ground in Bhubaneswar today.
Opting to bat the hosts were reeling at 52/7 before a rearguard by Sandeep (64) and Mohammad Saptula (95 not out) helped them cross the 200-run mark. Mandeep (3/54) and Pandita (3/59) shared six wickets between them.
Chandigarh, in reply, were batting on 45/1 at the draw of stumps. Taranpreet was not out on 17, while Sanyam Saini was unbeaten on 2. — TNS
