The university conferred an honourary doctor of literature (DLitt) degree upon SV Nathan, acknowledging his profound impact on human resource management, organisational development and social upliftment. This prestigious recognition highlighted Nathan’s influential role in transforming HR practices, fostering business growth and advancing education and skills for societal betterment. Nathan, CEO of Visara Partners and former chief human resources officer (CHRO) of Deloitte (South Asia), was instrumental in redefining HR in India. Pro-Chancellor Madhu Chitkara praised Nathan for his contributions to the field.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at the college organised an expert talk titled ‘Digital Revolution’ to mark Engineer’s Day 2024. The session focused on how AI, communications and robotics were shaping the future, aligning with the theme of honouring the dynamic and impactful profession of engineering. The event featured keynote speakers, including Neha Sardana (IIT-Ropar) and Deepak Garg (founder and CEO of INNOW8), along with esteemed faculty members Puneet Chawla (ADSA), Jyoti Kedia and Satinder Singh Mohar, as well as the entire faculty of the ECE Department.

Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Bihar, will hand over degrees to meritorious students during the 13th Convocation of the group of colleges on September 24. Chairman Anshu Kataria said students from various programmes, including MBA, B Pharma, LLB, B Tech, BBA, BCA, B Sc Agriculture and education would be awarded degrees. The group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Staffordshire University, UK, to improve their academic collaboration.
