Committed to ensuring swift justice to all citizens: Meghwal
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal today highlighted the significance of the Indian judicial system and good governance, while also emphasising the efforts of the BJP government in these areas.
The minister delivered an important address to a large number of advocates from Chandigarh.
He said, “The BJP government is continuously working to make the judicial process transparent and accessible. Advocates are a crucial pillar of society, and their role in strengthening the country’s judicial system is vital. We are committed to ensuring that every citizen receives swift justice.”
Chandigarh BJP president Jitender Pal Malhotra said, “Our government is dedicated to the welfare of every citizen. Through the active participation of advocates, we can further enhance the judicial system.”
Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla extended a warm welcome to the Union Law Minister and held discussions regarding legal reforms, governance and initiatives aimed at strengthening the judicial infrastructure in Chandigarh.
During the interaction, Babla expressed her gratitude for the minister’s visit and highlighted key areas where legal and administrative improvements could benefit the citizens of Chandigarh. Meghwal acknowledged the city’s efforts in maintaining legal and administrative excellence and assured full support from the Central Government in further enhancing the legal framework.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects aimed at improving legal accessibility, digital transformation of court procedures and strengthening legal aid services in the city. Both dignitaries emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure justice reaches every citizen efficiently.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a commitment to fostering legal advancements and governance reforms for the benefit of the people of Chandigarh.
