Baba Ramdev case: Complainant records statement

Chandigarh, June 2

Ravinder Singh Bassi, president of Lawyers for Humanity, today appeared as witness and recorded his statement before a local court during the hearing on his complaint filed against Baba Ramdev. The court has fixed the next hearing in the case for June 7.

Bassi has filed the complaint against Baba Ramdev on his alleged statements against doctors and allopathy. He demanded for summoning him as an accused to face trial for the offences under section 188, 269, 270, 276 of the IPC and Section 51, 52 and 54 of the Disaster Management Act 2005. — TNS
