A conclave of Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) was organised by the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh NCC Directorate here today, which provided a platform for ANOs to discuss and refine their training strategies, leadership development and discipline guidelines.

The ANOs are full-time faculty members of schools and colleges and are imparted basic military training and given commissioned ranks to look after NCC activities in their respective institutes. About 200 ANOs from the region attended the event.

Maj-Gen Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Additional Director General, NCC, who was the chief guest, highlighted the crucial role of NCC in nation-building and facilitated 10 ANOs for their dedication and contributions to the NCC.

Brig Rahul Gupta, Group Commander, emphasised the importance of training and leadership development among NCC officers.
