Congress protests against ED, Delhi Police in Ambala

Ambala, June 15

Congress workers led by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee treasurer Rohit Jain held a demonstration against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Delhi police on the Jagadhri road in Ambala City on Wednesday evening.

Congress workers raised slogans against the ED and also burnt its effigy. They alleged that the BJP government of indulging in political vendetta against the Congress.

Accusing the ED of torturing Congress leaders at the behest of the government, Rohit Jain said, “The BJP is targeting Rahul Gandhi under a conspiracy. He is being tortured in the name of interrogation. Despite the fact that Rahul has been cooperating with the ED, he is being harassed.”

Protesting congressmen were also assaulted by the police at the behest of the government, Jain added. “Congress will never tolerate such actions and we will continue to protest against the government and officials, who have been deliberately harassing our leaders,” said Jain.
