The local unit of the Congress today staged a protest against rising inflation and prices of LPG cylinders.

The agitation was led by party’s state women unit’s president Sudha Bhardwaj.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan and Kalka MLA Pardeep Chaudhary were among those present.

Bhardwaj said: “Ever since the Modi government came to power, inflation has become uncontrollable and the prices of all essential commodities, including petrol, diesel and LPG, are rising at an unprecedented rate.”

With banners and posters in their hands, Congress workers also raised slogans against the BJP government at the Centre.
