Sitting MLA Pradeep Chaudhary will contest the upcoming Assembly elections from Kalka segment. Chaudhary’s name featured on a list of 31 candidates issued by the Congress on Friday night.
Pardeep Chaudhary is a two-time MLA from Kalka. He contested and won the 2009 Assembly elections for the INLD when the constituency included Panchkula. Later, he contested the 2014 Assembly elections, but conceded a defeat from Latika Sharma. He again contested the 2019 Assembly elections on the Congress ticket and defeated Latika by a margin of nearly 5,931 votes.
The party is yet to announce its candidate for the Panchkula segment.
