Chandigarh, July 7
As many as 53 personnel from various formations of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police are attending the physical training instructors’ course that began at the Basic Training Centre (BTC) in Bhanu near here today.
Stating that the physical fitness is of paramount importance in the forces, more so in the ITBP, which remains deployed in tough, high-altitude areas, Ishwar Singh Duhan, Inspector General, BTC, said the course was specifically developed to meet the service as well as competitive requirements.
The participants would be trained in various techniques like vault horse, rope climbing, swimming, ground work, beam, single bar, parallel bar, yoga, gym, etc.
Those completing the 12-week course would be posted as instructors at various training centres.
