The complainant had stated that on August 30, he along with his son Suraj was returning home from Sector 24 when the accused attacked them with sticks and swords with an intention to kill them. The accused also snatched his son’s purse. While leaving the spot, they also issued threats to them.

After completion of investigation, a chargesheet was filed against the accused. Finding prima facie case, charges were framed against the accused to which they pleaded not guilty and claimed trial.

Vivek Kathuria, the counsel for three accused, argued that the witnesses had failed to identify his clients and the prosecution had failed to prove the charges.

After hearing the arguments, the court acquitted the accused of the charges framed against them.
