Ashok Kumar was allotted a flat in Sector 38 West under a small flats housing scheme for a monthly licence fee of Rs 800. The house allotment was cancelled through a notice on January 30, 2025 for non-payment.

Appearing for the allottee, advocate Sharang Rav Goel argued before the court that no opportunity was given before passing of the eviction order in June 2025.

After hearing the arguments, the court said they had filed this appeal against the order of eviction. As per the appellants’ version, they have been residing there along with their family and have no other place to live in. The court has adjourned the case for August 27 for filing reply. — TNS
