Mohali, January 5

The district administration today asked all private hospitals with Level-2 facilities to immediately reserve 15% of their total beds for the Covid patients in view of the recent spurt in cases. The Level-3 hospitals have also been directed to increase the number of beds.

Mohali Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia today held a meeting with the nodal officers of the private hospitals to review the situation.

“At the moment, the new variant of Covid does not seem to be dangerous, but our preparations should be complete,” she said.

The DC also directed all hospitals to upload the information of Covid patients visiting their hospitals on the Cova app so that the Administration gets accurate information about the situation. TNS
