Mohali, February 25

Free vaccinations to protect cows from lumpy skin disease began in the district today. Officials of the Animal Husbandry Department said around 40,000 cows would be vaccinated free of charge. A total of 30 teams would vaccinate cattle in villages in the district. Vaccinations will also be administered in all the cowsheds of the district. The department officials have appealed to all the owners of livestock to get their animals vaccinated and to cooperate with the teams of the department.
