Dev Samaj College of Education (DSCE), Sector 36-B, in association with College Development Council, Panjab University, organised a national seminar-cum-workshop on humanising innovations in teacher education on the college premises.

Dr Agnese Dhillon, Principal, DSCE, motivated the teachers to imbibe performing arts and moral values in their teaching.

Prof Nandita Singh, Department of Education, Panjab University, emphasised on the importance of culturally rooted and embedded values, ethos and moral values to produce teachers. She underlined that these aspects helped in shaping teachers, who had clarity of thought, were empathetic, creative and innovative. Such teachers could even design their curriculum according to the needs of the students, she said.

She also stressed on creating a ‘humanising’ condition in the classroom.
