The staff of the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) and their families marked Republic Day by unfurling the National Flag.

Prof S Anantha Ramakrishna, Director, CSIO, said on the occasion, the CSIO families should resolve to work together to ensure progress of the nation.

He said in the past year, the CSIO rose to the occasion by mitigating the problems being faced during the Covid-19 pandemic by developing various technologies such as electrostatic sprayers, contactless sanitisers, ultraviolet chambers, ventilators and foot-operated taps and transferring these technologies to the industry for commercial production. He said the CSIO was committed to developing indigenous technologies with minimum dependence on imports to provide impetus towards self-reliance.
