Czech Republic Ambassador to India, Eliska Zigova, today called on Deputy Commissioner, Aashika Jain in Mohali. She interacted with the DC on the former’s initiatives to making rural women self-reliant by setting up self-help groups at village level.

Impressing upon the exhibition of various products prepared by various women groups, she said the initiative was well received and may be beneficial for other women too who need to set up their home-based small businesses by forming a group.

“The DC is making extra efforts for women empowerment by encouraging rural women to develop their entrepreneurial skills, which is a remarkable achievement. I wish her success and Czech Embassy will provide the entrepreneurs with a platform to market their products manufactured by these women,” the Ambassador said, while interacted with the women members of self-help groups.
