Residents of Sector 80 complained that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) infrastructure in the area poses safety hazards to residents and in the public area.

Live wires, they say, are passing dangerously close to the footpath at one spot while nearby, loose connection wires hang from a transformer, posing a risk to pedestrians, morning and evening walkers in a park.

Wave Estate, Sector 85 resident Shabdeep Singh Sandhu said, "Live wires are dangling within a touching distance over the footpath where hundreds of school students take the road to school.
