DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, logged 27-23 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, to bag the boys’ U-17 title at the 3rd Andrew John Gosain Memorial Handball Inter-School Tournament-2024, organised by St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44.
Harmeet and Karan scored seven points each, while Abhishek scored five for the winning team. Kaamil (4) Harsh (2) also netted their share, with Dev and Abhinandan posting one each.

For the losing side, Himanshu (6), Vinay (5), Ritesh (4), Ayush (3) and Gaurav (3) and Sammer (2) scored.
The host team of St Xavier’s Chandigarh defeated St Xavier’s Panchkula 23-13 with the help of Manmeet (7), Sprash (5), Vaibhav (5), Prichay (2), Anhad (2) and Tanish (2). Mekul and Adity scored four each, while Moksh added three and Tanish added two for the Panchkula team.
In the girls’ final, the Sector 16 school team defeated St Xavier’s Chandigarh 16-9. Anjali scored four, whole Dipali and Muskaan scored three each. Shruti, Vaishnavi and Bhoomika scored two points each.
