DC, SSP give sanitisers, soaps to volunteers

Fatehgarh Sahib, April 10

The district administration, led by DC Amrit Kaur Gill and SSP Amneet Kondal, provided the volunteers and police personnel, who are guarding the nakas to stop the entry and exit of unknown persons in their respective villages, with hand sanitisers, soaps, masks and biscuits.

The DC said soon, the home delivery of hand sanitisers, soaps, detergent, washing soap, masks, mops and wipers will be started. The DC said due to huge demand of sanitisers in the district, the administration has roped in two major distilleries for the same. She said as the administration was already providing essentials such as milk, vegetables, grocery to people, they would also ensure the delivery of sanitisers on the doorsteps.

She said that there was no shortage of essential commodities in the market and that the administration was duty-bound to streamline the supply of all essentials.

Amneet Kondal said police officers and personnel had been working round the clock. They are not only ensuring the implementation of curfew restrictions but also helping in providing people with langar and ration.

They called residents to strictly follow the instructions and to maintain social distancing. They warned that violators would be strictly dealt with.
