Delhi club win baseball league
Chandigarh, June 26
The BSA Club, New Delhi, won the 1st Baseball National Open Club League, which concluded at the Panjab University grounds.
In the final, the New Delhi outfit edged past the Mission Chandigarh Club 4-3. Sagar, Sumit, Javed and Sahib completed one run each for the BSA Club, while Abhishek, Vijay and Sunder scored one each for the Mission Chandigarh.
The Faridabad Baseball Club defeated the Bilaspur Club, Chhattisgarh, 2-1 to claim the third position. Earlier, in the semifinals, the BSA team got the better of the Faridabad Club 11-6 and the Mission Club ousted the Bilaspur Club 10-0.
