Dera Bassi MC House approves devp projects
Dera Bassi Municipal Council today approved a budget of Rs 2.41 crore for the beautification of bus stand.
Besides, another Rs 61 lakh would be spent on making a park on the vacant land behind the civic body office and an open area.
The councillors, meanwhile, also discussed the issue of congestion on the tehsil road and parking mess plauging the area near the bus stand. It was suggested that the road would be widened by 18 metre.
The new Municipal Council office would be constructed near the existing fire brigade office on the Barwala road.
Dera Bassi MLA, meanwhile, said, “After passing the budget, the work to allot the tender would be initiated soon now.”
