DGP honours crime branch team for cracking double murder case

UT DGP Sanjay Beniwal felicitated the crime branch team with a First Class Commendation Certificate for cracking the Sector 15 double murder case that took place last month.
Two youths, Vineet Kumar and Ajay, alias Ajju, were shot dead at their rented accommodation in Sector 15 on December 18.
On December 30, the police had arrested Ankit Narwal, Sunil, alias Sillu Nandal, and Vicky, alias Kalia, in the case.
The fourth accused in the case, Amit (23), a native of Jind district in Haryana, was arrested from near PEC in Sector 12 on January 2.
Three teams of the crime branch constituted by DSP (Crime) Rajiv Kumar Ambata, including Inspector Ranjit Singh, In-charge, crime branch, Inspector Sher Singh, SI Ashok Kumar and SI Satvinder Singh, had carried out raids in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to nab the accused.
