Dhankhar in Chandigarh today, brace for traffic curbs
In view of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s visit to Panjab University for the Global Alumni Meet, the police have issued a traffic advisory for December 21. Traffic will be restricted or diverted on the following roads from 10 am to 1.30 pm.
Dakshin Marg: Airport light point, Hallo Majra junction, Poultry Farm Chowk, Tribune Chowk, Iron Market traffic lights, Gurdwara Chowk and New Labour Chowk (Sector 20/21-33/34).
Sarovar Path: Old Labour Chowk (Sector 18/19-20/21 Chowk) and AP Chowk (Sector 7/8-18/19).
Madhya Marg: Govt Press light point (Sector 8/9-17/18), Matka Chowk (Sector 9/10-16/17), Government Hospital-16 Chowk (Sector 10/11-15/16), PGI Chowk (Sector 11/12-14/15), and up to Panjab University Gate No. 1.
Citizens are advised to avoid these routes. Additional traffic restrictions or diversions may be implemented as needed during the VVIP visit.
