DIG holds interactive session as part of ‘Sampark’ campaign
Aiming to foster a stronger connection between local law enforcement agencies and the community, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rupnagar Police Range, Harcharan Singh Bhullar, held a public meeting with the resilients of Pancham Society, Sector 68. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Deepak Pareek also joined him in this interactive session.
Bhullar said the concerns and issues faced by the residents are effectively heard and addressed.
During the meeting, several key issues affecting the residents, including traffic management, cyber fraud, crimes like snatching, problems faced by senior citizens and acknowledgement of online complaints, were raised and discussed in detail.
In response to these concerns, both the DIG and the SSP assured the residents of swift action to address these problems. They assured the community that necessary steps would be taken to ensure a safer and more secure environment for everyone. Moreover, they committed to facilitating further engagement with the residents through regular “Sampark” meetings and an open channel of communication to ensure all concerns are properly addressed.
Area Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Harsimran Singh Bal, meawhile, assured the senior officers that the ongoing campaign “Sampark” will continue to ease the public problems by keeping regular interactions with them. — TNS
