Divyendu shoots gold at state meet

Divyendu Sharma won the gold medal in the men’s 50m rifle prone event at the 50th Chandigarh State Shooting Championship, held at the Sector 25 Shooting Range.

Sharma posted 576 to claim the gold medal. In the men’s 10m air pistol youth, Ranbir Singh Sidhu scored 367 out of 400 to bag the gold medal, while Deepti Hooda claimed the top position in the women’s junior 50m rifle prone and 3-Position rifle events.

Geet Godara won the 50m prone and 3-Position Rifle ISSF event and Shivam Yadav bagged the top honour in the men’s junior 50m prone rifle junior event. Chandigarh Rifle Association president Rajiv Atmaram, senior vice-president Vijay Pal Singh, general secretary Shubhjot Singh Chadha and executive members awarded the winners.
