A group of doctors organised a soulful musical evening, Yeh Shaam Mastani, at Punjab Kala Bhawan to highlight the therapeutic benefits of music in reducing stress, hypertension and heart disease.

The event, featuring amateur singers from the medical fraternity, was inaugurated by journalist SD Sharma and began with a tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev.

Dr MS Bal, Dr SS Sodhi, Dr Luvleen Kaur Sodhi, Dr Raju Dhir and Dr Bharat Bhushan led the initiative. Performers included RC Das, Asha Luthra, Labh Singh Lehali, Lily Gupta and Ved Bagri, besides others. The evening featured Bollywood classics and Punjabi melodies, with Kishore Sharma hosting the event.

Organisers emphasised the need for such gatherings to counter modern-day stress and promote mental well-being. The event concluded on a harmonious note, leaving attendees enthralled.
