As per the discussions, the MC authorities assured them of accepting their genuine demands after re-assessment of the commercial sites as to how many units were being covered by an individual waste collector and how much time it required to complete the same work. Besides, the door-to-door waste collectors asked the MC authorities not to implement ‘no work, no pay’ rule. During the meeting, it was mutually agreed to re-access the data of waste collectors working in commercial areas. A final decision will be taken keeping in view the larger interest of the City Beautiful.

Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar asked the Joint Commissioner to prepare the field data immediately and put up assessment report for a final decision in this regard.
