Ayush Raikhy won two gold medals in the Chandigarh State Athletics Meet that concluded at the Sector 7 Sports Complex on Monday.

Raikhy won gold medals in 100m and 200m events. Raj Kanwar and Tarandeep Singh claimed second and third position, respectively, in the 100m event. Ayman Ayush Angrish won the long jump event in the U-23 category, followed by Sarthak at the second position and Chirag at the third spot.

In the men’s 1,500m event, Basant Chauhan, Mehtab Khan and Aryan claimed top three positions, respectively, while Nitin Kamboj won the shot put event, followed by Priyanshu at second position and Aman Kumar at the third spot. In javelin throw, Harsh Rawat, Rudra Pratap and Vikash Mandal claimed the top three honours, respectively.

On the concluding day, Jaspreet Singh also claimed two twin gold medals. In 400m event, Jaspreet, Mahendra Kumar and Nitya Ahuja claimed first three positions, respectively, while in 800m event, Jaspreet, Onkar and Amanpreet Singh won top three positions, respectively.

Sahul, Ravi and Vimal Kumar were the top three finishers, respectively, of the 10,000m event. Sahul also won 500m event, followed by Mahtab Khan at the second position and Aryan Bhardwaj at the third spot.
