Draw of lots held at major private schools

Some major local private schools of Chandigarh organised a draw of lots for admission to entry-level classes today. On Saturday, the draw of lots were conducted at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 33, Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, St Anne’s School, Sector 32, and some more schools.

As per the admission schedule, the list of eligible candidates was scheduled to be released by January 14, followed by the display of list of selected candidates by February 3. Majority of the local private schools are likely to complete the draw of lots before January 20 and the parents have been asked to pay the fee before February 13. Thousands of applications had been received at these schools for just a few hundred seats.
