The MC on Saturday carried out a major anti-encroachment drive at the Transport Area in Sector 26 and the Furniture Market in Sector 34.

Illegal jhuggis and temporary structures, along with eight three-wheelers, were removed. Carts found outside the designated vending zones were also removed. In Sector 34, 25 challans were issued to shopkeepers for encroaching upon the corridor. A total of 85 challans were issued during the drive in both sectors.
