Drug smuggling crackdown: 7 inter-state checkposts under 'Operation Seal' in Rupnagar 

SSP Rupnagar Gulneet Singh Khurana on Friday inspected inter-state check posts under Operation Seal in Sri Anandpur Sahib, including village Dherowal near the Himachal Pradesh border.

He stated that vehicles are being checked at seven check posts in the district to ensure action against drug smugglers at all levels.

Inter-state checkpoints are being established throughout the state under Operation Seal.

Today, seven inter-state checkpoints have been set-up in Rupnagar district, which he personally inspected.

Additionally, the police are conducting continuous patrols within the district, and checks are being implemented by deploying police personnel on other smaller routes connecting Punjab with other states.

The SSP said that under the campaign to identify and arrest drug traffickers in Rupnagar district, a "Yudh nashian virudh" campaign was run from March 1 to March 31.
