Dutta’s achievements were also recognised at the annual conference of the Endocrine Society of India, where he received the PN Shah Oration Award. The award commemorates Dr PN Shah, a founding member of the society, who along with Dr RJ Dash and Nobel Laureate Rosalyn Yallow introduced radioimmunoassay for hormones to India in 1966.
