The DC said technical and financial bids for these tenders were opened on March 17, 2025, at Mohali Industrial Association (MIA) Bhawan, Industrial Area, Sector 78, SAS Nagar. Out of the total 13 clusters, 12 were successfully allocated to the highest bidders (H-1). The total reserve price for these 12 clusters was Rs 549.89 crore and they were allotted for a cumulative amount of Rs 792.20 crore, reflecting an increase of Rs 242.20 crore (+44.06 per cent) over the reserve price.

Assistant Commissioner (Excise) Ashok Chalhotra said the excise revenue of SAS Nagar (Mohali) district had historically seen significant increase during last couple of years. The revenue of Mohali district rose from Rs 235 crore during the year 2021-22 to Rs 528 crore during the current fiscal (2024-25) thereby witnessing an increase of over 124 per cent in past three years. This unprecedented growth in excise revenue speaks volumes about success of the excise policies of the state form the year 2022-23 to 2024-25, he said.
