Early morning robbery bid at jewellery shop
An attempt to loot a jewellery shop in Manimajra was thwarted last night.
The police said the incident took place around 3 am when two unidentified men arrived at the Reliance Jewellery store in Manimajra. One of them threatened the security guard with a knife. Meanwhile, his accomplice tried to break the shop’s shutter, which was secured with two locks. Although they managed to break one of the locks, the second lock held firm, blocking their entry.
As they tried to break the lock, the security guard escaped and alerted other guards, forcing the miscreants to flee the spot.
