Elderly woman hurt after neighbour attacks her with rod

A 60-year-old woman sustained serious head injuries in a attack by her neighbour in Green City area.

The victim, identified as Saroj Arora, was injured after her neighbour hit her with an iron road following an altercation outside her home.

The CCTV camera footage of the incident shows the two arguing with each other after which a middle aged man attacks her in the street.

The victim was taken to Dhakoli CHC where she is under treatment.

On the statement of the victim, the police have registered a case against neighbour Dheeraj Bhatia.

Dhakoli station house officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Preet Kanwar Singh said a case has been registered and the suspect would be arrested soon.
