Electric vehicles expo begins in Chandigarh
The third Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle Expo, organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Eventage, was inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar.
He further emphasised the synergy between electric vehicles and solar power in tackling climate change and highlighted Chandigarh’s progress as a green city through solar energy adoption.
Punjab National Bank’s Zonal Manager Rajesh Prasad spoke on energy self-sufficiency and India’s leadership in solar power.
Madhusudan Vij of PHDCCI said over 50 solar energy and charging station companies and 100 firms, including Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra, are showcasing innovations at the three-day event.
Suvrat Khanna and Lokesh Jain of PHDCCI, meanwhile, highlighted the expo’s role in promoting clean mobility and sustainable urban development.
