Entry of VIP security staff to arena barred
The UT police have decided to bar the entry of security personnel accompanying VIPs inside the venue for Diljit Dosanjh’s concert.
The police said those attempting to gain unauthorised entry with the assistance of personal security officers will face legal action. Action will also be taken against any police official found involved in such activities, said the police in a statement issued today.
Unauthorised access to the concert area or forcible entry will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law. Trespassers will be immediately removed from the venue and legal proceedings will follow.
People had been advised not to bring personal security officers to the gates or inside the concert venue. Only security and police personnel specifically assigned duty by Chandigarh Police will be permitted inside the venue. “No armed escorts or security officers will be allowed inside,” said the police.
