Chandigarh, August 17
Former Congress general secretary Sandeep Bhardwaj, along with about 40 former office-bearers who recently resigned from the party, will join the AAP here tomorrow.
“We left the Congress due to corruption issues involving some senior leaders. Under the BJP-ruled MC, there is already so much corruption. Thus, we, around 42-43 former office-bearers, are going to join AAP, which has done good work in Delhi,” said Bhardwaj.
“We will join the party in the presence of senior AAP leader Jarnail Singh tomorrow. We will work towards replicating the Delhi model here,” he added.
These leaders are considered close to former city Congress president Pardeep Chhabra, who joined AAP a few days ago. — TNS
