A ‘farewell and blessing’ event was organised at Tagore Theatre for the graduating batches of classes 10 and 12. Students leaving the school said that they would cherish the memories they made during their years at the institution. Campus director Ryan Pinto addressed the gathering and urged the students to always seek God’s blessings, and also of their parents and teachers, to strive towards success. In a candlelight ceremony, students of Class 12 passed on their legacy to the students of Class 11. Arshdeep Singh was awarded the Ryan Prince award, while Avishi was given the Ryan Princess award.

Students from classes 1 to 5 participated in various arts and crafts activities to celebrate Makar Sankranti. Students of Class 4 made kites while students of Class 5 prepared cards. Students of classes 6 to 8 wrote essays about Makar Sankranti and the sun.

The school organised a ‘Big Aunty Math Quest’ on its campus. The exam was organised in the memory of the school’s founder, late Shanta H Singh, and the result was declared on her birth anniversary. Around 450 students from various schools in the tricity participated in the exam. It was conducted in two categories — junior (classes 6-8) and senior (9-10). The examination was based on the syllabus of Class 10 (CBSE) for the senior category and on critical thinking and real-life problems for the junior category.

AKSIPS 45 Smart School, Chandigarh

A workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was organised on the school premises. It aimed to spread awareness about the rights of children and their safety. The session was led by Surender Kumar, Member Secretary of State Legal Services Authorities.
