Fatehgarh Sahib DC launches book detailing life, history of Sahibzadas

Deputy Commissioner Dr Sona Thind and Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Vice-Chancellor Dr Pritpal Singh on Friday released the book, “Char Sahibzade Life and Contribution”, written in three languages ??by Dr. Paramveer Singh and Dr. Kulwinder Singh. The book provides multifaceted information about the Sahibzadas.

Addressing the gathering, the DC said the land of Fatehgarh Sahib holds a special place in Sikh religion and history due to the martyrdom of Mata Gujri and the younger Sahibzade.

“Lakhs of devotees come to pay obeisance every year,” she said, further adding that the book would provide exact information about the life and martyrdom of the Sahibzadas to the people, especially the youth before commending the writers’ work.

Dr Pritpal Singh, meanwhile, said the book provides information about the Sahibzadas in three languages Punjabi, Hindi and English, which will prove to be helpful for the readers from different states.
