Deputy Commissioner Dr Sona Thind today held a meeting with a team of National Level Monitors (NLM) deployed by the Ministry of Rural Development and district officials to assess the progress of centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the villages of the district.
Thind instructed the officials that there should be no negligence in implementing the various centrally sponsored schemes to every eligible beneficiary at the grass root level in rural areas. She also directed the officials to complete the various development works going on in the villages within the stipulated time.

The officials were also asked to prepare a complete report on the progress of implementation of rural development programmes.
ADC Development Surinder Singh Dhaliwal assured the central team that all government rules were being followed.
