Mohali, December 14
In a bid to promote Punjab state and its art and culture, and earn revenue as well, the state government has proposed to set up a film city in the Mohali area.
The proposal has been made in the Punjab Government’s policy being drafted to promote art and cultural activities by facilitating filmmakers in the state.
Confirming the development, Lakhmir Singh, Additional Director, Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Punjab, said: “The film city will be established on the lines of film cities in Mumbai and Hyderabad, having facilities such as studios and dubbing centres. Entertainment facilities like Disneyland have also been proposed in the project.”
