A set of five new books by Dr SS Bhatti, former principal of Chandigarh College of Architecture, were released here today.

The chief guest, Swarnjit Singh Savi, Chairman, Punjab Arts Council, released, “Recovery of India”, a socio-political treatise envisioning the revival of nationhood.

Col Tilak Raj, former Chief Postmaster General of Punjab and Chandigarh Circle, released, “Pen-prints on the sands of time”, a poetic diary of spiritual insight and personal reflection. Surinder Bahga, principal architect of Saakaar Foundation, released, “My Art”, a compilation of paintings and graphics.

Prof Swati Behl Uppal, Principal of the University Institute of Architecture, Chandigarh University, released, “Covid-19 creativity: Stray musings”, and Pal Ajnabi, a Punjabi poet, launched “Meri chup hi kavita kehndi”, an anthology of Punjabi poetry by Dr Bhatti.

“I trained myself to remain in a creatively active mode — where originality, diversity and abundance become a way of being,” Dr Bhatti remarked.
