Officials of the department have asked residents to stay indoors and remain alert.

The police were also using drone-fitted cameras to conduct the search.

With people staying indoors during the 21-day nationwide lockdown to check the spread of Covid-19, wild animals, including endangered ones, have been spotted on deserted streets at several places in the country over the past few days. Sambars were also seen crossing roads in northern Sectors of the city again. — TNS
