Former Punjab Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan has been inducted as a member of the Administrator’s Advisory Council of the Chandigarh Administration.
The official order, issued by the Chandigarh Administration, lists her among the newly appointed members of the Council constituted to advise the Administrator on key policy and developmental matters concerning the Union Territory.
Mahajan, a 1987-batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, previously served as Punjab’s first woman Chief Secretary and later held significant roles in both the state and the Centre. Her inclusion adds senior bureaucratic experience to the Council, which comprises experts, officials, and eminent citizens to guide the Administrator on governance and public welfare issues.
