The Department of Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, successfully treated a 43-year-old woman suffering with multiple tumours in her breast, via Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy (R-NSM) with Implant Reconstruction Surgery, using the world’s most advanced 4th Generation Robot – Da Vinci Xi.

In a press release, Dr Naval Bansal, Senior Consultant, Breast and Endocrine Cancer Surgery, at Fortis Hospital Mohali, said, “Traditional mastectomy often leaves visible scars on the chest, which can be emotionally distressing for women.
