Four arrested for robbing auto-driver at knifepoint
Stolen cash and the knife used in the crime recovered
The police have arrested four youths for robbing an auto-rickshaw driver on the night of October 21.
The ACP (Crime), Arvind Kamboj, said the victim had reported that on the night of October 21, while travelling to Budhanpur to meet his uncle, a group of youths stopped him. They assaulted him with a knife and robbed him of Rs 4,500.
Acting on a tip-off, the Crime Branch staff arrested Pritam, alias Golu (18); Niranjan, alias Malta (21); and Shivam (19), all residents of Budhanpur; and Anshu (18) of Indira Colony. The stolen cash and the knife used in the crime were recovered from them.
All four accused were produced before the court on October 25 and remanded in judicial custody.
