The DCC team arrested Mandeep Singh, alias Arsh, a 22-year-old student from Ferozepur, and recovered 99.55 gm of heroin and a motorcycle from him. Mandeep disclosed that he got drugs from Jashanpreet (22) of Fazilka, who had procured narcotics from one Kirti. The latter had alleged links in Pakistan and would smuggle consignments across the border by using drones.
In second case, registered as FIR on September 15, the team arrested Maninderjit (32) of Amritsar with 101.68 gm of heroin and a car. He revealed that his supplier had links with Pak handlers.
Ruma Devi (43) of Kullu was arrested with 324 gm of charas from near a railway crossing at Kishangarh.
